In our conclusion of the series we want to look at the gifts that God gives to His children. Not because we earn them but because we are His. And they are actually not even for us, they are for the rest of the world-wide family of faith called The Church. So what are yours? Better find out because God has big plans for you.

We all want to be noticed, recognized, applauded. In some ways that is ok but God also wants us to know that we are just like everybody else on the planet. Doesn't matter how famous, how rich, how powerful, how intelligent, how attractive we are. The truth is that we bring nothing to the table that makes us any better that the rest of the people on the planet. Sorry to disappoint you.

Man is always trying to do something to make God pleased with them. The best news is that you can't do anything. I mean nothing. Never. We are saved by Grace, will forever glorify God by Grace and show the world about God's love by Grace. Now that should take the pressure off!

But you do not know my story. We all have said it, or heard it, or thought it. If you knew how bad I have been you would understand that God could never forgive me. Good news. God does know all about you and He has opened a way for you to receive forgiveness for the whole mess. Yes even the worst of the worst.

What is reasonable is cast aside when we come into contact with a grace giving perspective. What we think as reasonable and realistic is blown apart by what God expects from us as recipients and distributors of grace.

We rely on Grace, we sing about Grace, we talk about Grace and yet we often fail miserably at actually giving it to others. This is the start of a short series on the big topic of grace and will challenge us to not on;y receive Grave but to freely distribute it too.

As we sit at the brink of 2018 we may look back on 2017 in many different ways.  The days ahead of us are a mystery and perhaps filled with some uncertainty.  Isaiah 52:12 gives us a good frame of reference to enter a new year with all of the questions it holds.  God is before us and behind us and His presence should bring comfort to us.

Our Christmas Eve Service is always a great time of fun and informal celebration of the season.  This year we look at the things that came to man that first Christmas Eve and perhaps why they are so important to us today.  Merry Christmas

Christmas can be a busy time.  Understatement of the year, I know.  But among all the clamor and clatter, the food and the fun, we can miss what really matters and usually it is none of these things.  Imagine if the shepherds and the wise men had been too busy to go and see Jesus and worship Him.  What would they have missed?  Something way better than they had decided to spend their efforts on that is for sure.  This Christmas slow down and take the scenic route.  You may be surprised what you see when you do.

Rushed upon. That is how the Bible describes the coming of the Holy Spirit in both the Old and New Testament. David, Samson and the believers in Acts. Same picture...rushed upon. The unstoppable force of the church was that way because the Holy Spirit was active in their lives and they did amazing works. Why is that not the way the Church is today? In North America we are often kind of ineffective and the power of God is not seen like it was in Acts 2. We need to get back to that.
